Celebrating the 2022 Climate and Health Innovation Award recipient

May 11, 2022

CleanMed2022 gathered people around the world in Kansas City from May 10 – 12. #CleanMed is presented each year by Practice Greenhealth, the leading membership and networking organization for sustainable health care, and Health Care Without Harm, an international coalition promoting environmentally responsible health care and advocating for environmental health and justice across the globe.

Justin Jay Macadangdang, J.D., Green Environmental Management System (GEMS) Program Manager from Jesse Brown VA Medical Center, accepted the Climate & Health Innovation award at #CleanMed2022. The award, presented by the Health Care Climate Council, recognizes Jesse Brown’s innovation for collecting unused anesthetics that would normally be vented into the environment and processing the collected material into its pure form. This sustainable solution is only made possible through the use of Blue-Zone’s patented technology.
